When all the kids in my second grade class wanted to be doctors and lawyers, I wanted to be a writer and photographer. The only thing that's really changed is in what capacity. At first I held the lofty aspiration of being a young novelist and to supply my own illustrations. Several failed attempts at writing the next tween fiction sensation later, I decided that shorter term projects were a more realistic start. My freshman year of college I found that magazine writing fulfilled all my journalistic cravings. Now, that's the path I'm on.
